Passed away peacefully at Sub Acute Palliative Care, Swan Hill. Loved son of the late Lionel and Shirley. Loved brother of Christian, Lesley, Carol and their families.
You were an angel on earth (almost) now spread your wings in heaven.

Funeral Notice

Service held Tuesday July 9, 2019 - 2:30pm

A graveside funeral service for Mr Lionel Arendt will be held at the Nyah District Lawn Cemetery on Tuesday 9th July commencing at 2.30pm. Donations to Sub Acute Palliative care appreciated.

Lionel is loyal intelligent onnery naughty earnest and linguistic,boy can he communicate in lots of ways he is all the things his name stands for and I know no matter where he goes he will be noticed cos he knows hell doesn’t want him and heavens afraid he l take over so great travels bro know yr loved oodles and oodles????

    I googled your name to see what you’re up to and find you are gone! You were my best mate through the late 80’s and early 90’s and although we drifted apart, some of my best memories are going to see Pink Floyd, Mick Jagger and other legends of rock with you!
    You had a great sense of humour and a big heart Rest In Peace mate !

  7. I discovered Lionel’s passing from Christian a month after he passed away. Was a very sad time for me and all who knew him. I was grateful Lionel travelled up to Mackay to see me earlier in 2019. Lionel, you and I have been mates for 44 years. We rode together and shared many an ale and laugh. We were separated by distance for 30 years or so but still remained in touch and friends. Sorry I could not pay back the respect by attending your send off, or meeting up with you one last time before you left us all. I will endeavour to come down and pay you my respects at your resting place when I can find some time – hopefully within the year. Till then my good mate, rest up in the spirit world.
