To the Hayden Family
Sorry to hear about the passing of Don
I worked for him in 71/72 and he was a good boss but a better human being. He cared about people, the community he lived in and the welfare of people in the district.
His long association with Swan Hill council, a couple stints as president and a AOM are all proof of his devotion.
A man with a great work ethic, a big heart , a dry wit who never lost the common touch
Goodbye Don
Regards
Steve Blore -

Uncle Don was a family stalwart, always there with a kind and knowledgeable word to guide our thinking. Our family always made a habit of visiting the Haydens’ every time we came to town; as Uncle Don and Auntie Thelma visited us in Sydney and Canberra when on their travels. He inspired us to achieve, to love the land and amongst other things, to take on farming. His inspiration and encouragement followed on from our grandparents and parents.
He was a much loved uncle to us and a very respected brother-in-law to our father. May he rest in peace with Thelma knowing the very considerable personal and family achievements together with his contribution to the local community. We are all the richer for knowing Uncle Don.
