Funeral Notice
Service held Monday August 8, 2022 - 11:00amFamily and Friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service for the late Mr Geoffrey Francis Ledwich at the Berriwillock Community Centre, 69 Taverner Street, Berriwillock on MONDAY (August 8th) commencing at 11.00 a.m. Followed by a Burial at the Berriwillock Cemetery.
We wish to encourage you to express your sympathies and condolences to the family via a tribute on this announcement which the family are able to read, reflect and treasure.
The service will be live streamed for those unable to attend. Streaming code provided to the family.

I am deeply saddened by Geoff’s passing. I’ll always remember and cherish his funny stories and the raucous laughter that always ensued. That broad smile is forever etched in my mind. A man that even after 97 years, remained on good terms with everyone who ever had the pleasure of getting to know him. Geoff was a person of high integrity and incredibly likeable. He has left an indelible and positive impression on me from a life very well lived.
You couldn’t wish for a better uncle.

I was so saddened to hear of Geoff’s passing. To me, he embodied the spirit of the Mallee – resilient and optimistic with a great sense of humor. Geoff was an inspirational person whose company I greatly enjoyed. I will miss him a lot.

Our wonderful uncle Geoff – we will really miss you. Your death seals the end of an era, but you have left ever lasting memories for your whole family. We treasure every minute that we spent with you. We laughed with you until we could laugh no more. We solved all the world problems and we would be better coaches than any of the AFL ones. We recalled the “old days” and discussed the issues of “today”. A wonderful smile, infectious laugh and a love of family. Rest in Peace Geoffrey. It’s time.

It’s hard to call back to a memory of Geoff in which he wasn’t smiling or laughing in. His cheeks and ears rosy red, his eyes almost closed, with an arm around someone who sharing in a little bit of that joy alongside him. The lines on his face told the story of a man who knew how to live life, a life full of smiles and laughter. He was truly someone we could all aspire to be like.
