Service held Friday April 8, 2022 - 1:30pmA Funeral service for Maurice William Gerkens will be held at the Graveside, Balranald Lawn Cemetery on Friday 8th April 2022, at 1:30 pm.
Please bring an umbrella and chair.

Murray will be sadly missed by everyone at FCG Legal.
Murray was one of the best all round lawyers with expertise in criminal law, migration and administrative law and was a most valuable member of staff.

A very sad day. Murray has been a great friend for over 20 years. A true gentleman with compassion and understanding.
I met Murray at the old Prahran Court when I was there to take the police to task. While I was waiting this gentleman sat beside me and started to chat – gave me some excellent advice. I took his card, called him a couple of days later to thank him and we have been friends ever since.

Dear Jan, George, Randall and families,
We are so sorry for your loss, please accept our deepest sympathies. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this very difficult and sad time.
Murray was a true gentleman. He was kind, generous and helpful to everyone. He touched our lives, especially our oldest son’s. Jeremy met him when he went to FCG Legal for his school work experience and because of him he developed a passion for law, so he continued to work for him when he was in university. Murray was a role model for him and taught him a lot. We are very sad that we couldn’t assist or help him during the last few years.

I met Murray when studying at Victoria University in 2006. He was a true gentleman and he helped everyone who came to him. He was a well respected humble gentleman.
