  5. I have fond memories of Mrs Ryan being my caring, but nonsense teacher. She had a calmness about her that I still remember today. Mrs Ryan was a teacher who knew how to help the kids who were finding things difficult and not just ones who were excelling.

When ever I returned to Manangatang in my teenage years Mrs Ryan always remembered me and we would have a good chat.

Pat became a role model for me as I too have chosen the Primary School Teaching profession. When I returned to Manangatang as a student teacher Pat was still a teacher I admired.

God bless you Pat. The Holdsworth family appreciate the hours of hard work you put into educating us.

Thinking of the Ryan family during this difficult time but I want you to know she was a special teacher that I will never forget.

    Kind Regards and deepest sympathy

Pat was a beautiful teacher who treated each student as an individual, with respect and integrity. It was an absolute pleasure to teach with Pat and share a collegiality which included many deep and meaningful conversations. Having her teach my kids, I always knew they were in good hands.
