Psalm 23
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.
Your loving daughter Stephanie Dillon XXOO

Paddy was a great leader and showed real kindness and compassion for others, and will be in our hearts forever. We have great memories of watching and hearing the starting of the radial engine, and the Rolls Royce roaring near the Lake. A gentleman like no other.

Dear Marie, Louise, Stephanie and families,
We are so very sorry to hear the passing of our great friend Patrick.
He was a fantastic man with so much knowledge about engines and restoration. We loved seeing Paddy at the Lake Boga Museum on a regular basis, and chatting about his restoration projects and the work he was doing for the Lake Boga community. He could fix and start a motor like no-one else could. Such fond memories and he will be in our hearts forever.
Wishing you peace to bring comfort, courage to face the days ahead and loving memories to forever hold in your heart.

My deepest sympathy to you all on the passing of Paddy.
Paddy was a great character, we spent many great times together talking about engines and how to make them louder and bigger ! He helped my boys and I find parts for our radial engine, and was always very helpful and kind. When we couldnt get our radial running, Paddy helped for weeks to get it restored and running. Over many years, we have shared a lot of great laughs in the shed, with a Diet coke, and my boys will miss his helpfulness, compassion, kindness, jokes and laughs.
He was very proud of his family especially his two farming daughters, and we hope you find solace in the time, love and kindness he gave to many.
Our Deepest sympathy.

Dear Aunt Marie, Marty, Lou, Steph and family’s.
I will hold dear the memories of my time spent on the farm with you all, Mum putting David and I on the bus and Uncle Paddy and Aunt Marie collecting us in Barham. Paddy dinking 4 kids on the farm bike, the just “hold on” horse riding lessons, Xmas on the sandbar and his patience taking David and I to church ( I’m sure he knew we would try to sneak out) so many memories.

Staff, clients and volunteers extend their deepest condolences to Marie, Louise and families on the passing of our dear friend and colleague Paddy.
Paddy was a volunteer with our service for more than 12 years where he provided day-respite for clients in full-time care, specifically farming clients who needed outdoor hands-on respite. Paddy provided a wonderful compassionate service, where he was able to connect and reconnect farming clients into participatory outdoor activities, and or organise drives to watch farming activities such as harvesting etc. The service Paddy provided was the impetus for this program to be delivered state-wide which he was involved in advocating for. He had helped a countless number of farming clients in our service and he will be remembered by many as a kind, happy, friendly man, who will be deeply missed by many staff, clients and volunteers.
Thank you Paddy for the care and kindness you showed to others, you led by example, and you loved all creatures and beings great and small.

Dear Marie and family. I am so sad to hear of your loss. Paddy was a great friend and mentor. My late wife, Valma (nee Fasham), particularly valued your friendship when she came to live at Lake Boga and you were always special in her heart. Paddy is also remembered for his amazing knowledge of all things mechanical, and I stand in awe of his ability to make things work when all others seem to give up. He was the person who I could go to with any issue, and he always seemed to be able to solve it. ANZAC Day will never be the same without Paddy leading the march. My deepest sympathy to all your extended family, who I am sure will miss him greatly. David Mark.

To Dear Marie, Lou, Stephanie and families,
We are deeply saddened by the passing of Paddy. Such as wonderful happy and caring man. Always there to lend a hand. I remember Paddy’s ute was pulled over on the roadside near Swan Hill, I got out and Paddy was helping a hitch-hiker, who had been released from jail, and Paddy was helping wash his face and hands after sleeping in the bushes. The hitch-hiker wanted to go to Moulamein, some weeks later I was told Paddy drove the young fella all the way to Moulamein to see his family. This is a story and memory I will never forget. He was such a kind-hearted person who would help anyone.Such a terrible sad loss for Marie, Louise and family, and for our community at Lake Boga.
He will be deeply missed by many. Thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.Jamie McDonald

Nobody could match Paddy for making people feel special. I’ll always remember being the smallest person in the Moulamein SES, but feeling big and strong because he gave me strength and courage. He listened, and he cared.
As a young man, my parents were both alcoholics, I was very lucky to have Paddy as my role-model, we kept in touch for more than 30 years. Paddy always listened to my woes and worries and offered me guidance, help and support. I can never thank him enough for his genuine care, love, guidance and support. He has made a massive impact on my life and I am sorry that I did not tell him that. I feel privileged having known Paddy. Please accept my deepest sympathy to your family on the loss of a true gentleman and legend.

Paddy was a great friend and mate; we will cherish all our very special moments together. Our family feel very blessed and grateful to have had Paddy in our lives. He was always reliable and able to help if we needed something, especially when it came to fixing the John Deere tractor or Boat. We were skiing at Lake Boga some years back, and our ski-boat broke down not far from Paddy’s. He saw us waving out on the Lake, and after a short conversation on the mobile telephone he said it would be the “fuel pump”. I still couldnt fix it, so Paddy jumped in the Lake and waded out to help us. Within 10 minutes, he got the boat running and we boated back to shore. What a memory ! He was an inspiration and a real character. Paddy will be greatly missed. A really great bloke.

Dear Paddy,
Thank you for everything you did for our family. You were a wonderful support to our Dad when he was unwell. You took him under your wing and gave him lots of respite for Mum. You were so kind and caring of our Dad…we used to call it “Paddys time”, and schedule it on the calendar. Mum always had the kettle on for you. You picked up Dad and drove him out to your farm and let him tinker with you, it was some of the best memories Dad talked about when he was very unwell. Something our family will forever be grateful.
Thank you Paddy for everything you did for us. You are a wonderful remarkable man who will never be forgotten. Sending Lou, Marie and family our loving thoughts and prayers.Maria, Sam, Bree, Matt and Luke Collins

To Dear Paddy, such a sad loss, thank you for being a great bloke, and a man that wrote his own story and grabbed the bull by the horns. Not afraid to step-up and say what needed to be said, and contributed a massive amount to the Lake Boga and Swan Hill community. Always there helping, with a Diet Coke in his hand. A terrific bloke, will be very sadly missed by many.

A unique character with a heart of Gold. Paddy assisted our members for numerous years, helping to restore and start our Pratt & Whitney R-4360 and Wright R-3350 motors, and others. His knowledge and passion was second to none, and Paddy was always available to help. We will be forever grateful to the time and knowledge Paddy shared, and the kindness he showed to all.
Honoring your sadness at this time, celebrating a live well-lived, and wishing you warm memories and peace at this very sad time. With deepest sympathy to the Dillon family.

Our loved Pop … words will never express how you impacted and shaped our lives … from the days of showing us how to ride the bikes at the farm… to teaching me to weld with a battery … from those long hours watching John Wayne movies on the couch with tomato (only truss)sandwichs and listening and whistling to Slim Dusty driving around the district with your hat on sideways to keep the sun off… each and everyone one of your decedent’s through the generations will miss you … from having weetbix breekies with you and drinking veggie water with you after tea on so many occasions … from all the birthdays and Christmas bbqs … all the times on the water both here on the lake and down on the coast when we were all that much younger … All the times that the tools in the back of paddy6 came in handy… from all the times i asked to stay with you longer to see what new adventure (or project) we would discover …
Pop there is now a massive hole not in just our family but for the entire community that spreads from North East Victoria and Southern NSW that knew you…
We love you and will always miss you… now you’re at peace and reunited with mumHenry Heather Archer Harriet & Austin

Thank you for everything you have contributed. We hold dear the many conversations, action plans, and actions completed together to conserve and protect the environment.

Dear Marie, Louise and families,
Such sad news on the passing of the loved and respected Paddy. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this very sad time. Paddy was a tremendous support to our family when our father was unwell with Dementia. Dad came from farming and suffered terribly from being “couped-up” inside with Mum. Paddy used to pick-up Dad, and take him to Lou’s for a ride on the tractor, or sit on the river-bank and talk about farming. Dad loved his time with Paddy; it provided Dad with a link back to farming, and the river. Thank you to Paddy and Lou for making this time for our family. When we reflect on those times, Paddy provided care, peace and kindness to our Dad that no-one else could. It is something that always meant a lot to our family, and our Mum who has now also passed.
You’re in our thoughts and prayers, and sending you love and hugs during this time.
Sincerely,
Eleanor, Victoria and Claire Campbell & families xxxooo -
Paddy – great man who gave his time to others without concerns or complaints. A lovable larrikin and character and the last of a Riverina generation. Beautiful service for your Dad, well done Louise, Stefan and family.
As the poem said, rest gently In Peace. Our love prayers and thoughts are with you all in your time ahead.

Lucky to have known him.
