  5. Peter Doig – A Gentleman, kind, considerate & courteous, effectionally know to us & many as “Doigy”

It is with great sadness, we farewell & will always remember, a wonderful man, know to our family over many years through our association with the Swan Hill Football Netball Club. In his role as club President, he always honoured & respected ” the old blokes” of which my dad was one, Thanks a million Doigy!

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, as they remember with love, laughter & tears, the truly wonderful life of their brother, brother-in-law, children & grandkids.

  6. We have lost a valuable community minded volunteer who has been an outstanding leader of regional football and netball. After a long battle with cancer the final siren has sounded on Doigy.
A president of the Swan Hill Junior Football League, the Swan Hill FNC and later Chairman of the Central Murray Football & Netball League, he was also selected in 2002 as the John Gray & Son CMFNL Personality of the Year. In these sporting bodies he unselfishly provided strong leadership and direction.
Peter’s willingness to put in the extra work to make things happen and his expectation that we always can improve on what we have done is now an established tradition in our league.

  12. Thank you Peter for giving me the opportunity to commence my business in Swan Hill and help others. It has been a pleasure working with you for the last 3 years. I also loved how you appreciated me bringing in my native foods to try and our cheeky banter. You fought hard and never complained, showing great strength when many would have given in. You will be missed! My condolences to all the family.

  14. Our Condolences to Peter’s family he was a great guy with a good sense of humor.
Doigy liked a good joke, like the time we discussed new tractor tyres then he asked what brand of tractor
and tyre size. It was a Subaru, well he fell apart. We always had a good laugh when we saw each other.

Our thoughts are with you all at this time.
