On behalf of President Norm Smith and the members of Gembrook RSL Sub Branch we extend our condolences to the Thiele family at this sad time . Ron is remembered fondly as a former President and office holder who contributed much to the sub branch and Gembrook community . Lest We Forget.

You had a passion for the war years and your published book, Korea The Forgotten War, was your own contribution to the community to commemorate the history of a time your experienced in your life. When I was running the Balranald Bulletin we had many chats about the war experiences, so glad the book was completed and published and I do remember the constant tapping of your typewriter on my visits in its preparation. Of course you also had a great passion and involvement with the local RSL .
A sad time for the family but there are many memories that they can treasure forever.
With best wishes .
