  5. Dear Mrs Walsh,
Thank you for your kindness to our family ever since mum and dad moved into your Swan Hill street over 50 years ago. You were always caring, gracious, and interested, whenever we met throughout the decades. Thanks for baking us cakes, encouraging our book reading, and insisting we raid your walnut tree when we were kids. Commiserations to your family.

  6. My Aunty Audrey. One of those rare human beings that are selfless in their humanity. She was 100 % for others with scant time being self-absorbed: she was always truly interested in you and your life. You could sense her authenticity from her bright inquiring eyes. Her kindly smile.

My commiserations to the many friends she leaves behind in Swan Hill. She loved it there because of you all.

  8. Just found out that Audrey is no longer with us, I admired her immensely, she was always full of encouragement and positivity. Such grace and charm, always interested and caring, and what an intellect, so knowledgeable but never arrogant… The last time I saw her a few months ago she was cheerfully complaining that she wasn’t making the walk from her old house to town (this was outside the post office) quite as quickly as she used to! Vale Audrey, you are missed but I have wonderful memories.
