Over the 40 years we’ve been friends
But your smile never faded
With that big cheeky grin.Always up for a laugh

Before your time came to an end
It’s been a privilege
To call you my friendFor you’ve been

Dear Lyn, family, Dennis and Geoff,
Phil and I were so sorry to hear of the passing of my kind and generous cousin, Terry. It is clear from the many tributes how much Terry was loved and respected by both his family and the racing community to which he devoted so much of his time and considerable talent.
As a younger cousin (by 8 years) I will always remember Terry’s patience and kindness to Chris and me when we were small.
We are so glad we will be able to watch the funeral livestream with Mum and Dad and say goodbye to a special cousin and a special man. Much love to you all,
Susan (Bansgrove) and Phil (Manderson). -

Living thousands of miles away we didn’t see a lot of Terry. But two visits back to Australia will always stay with me. First stop was Ouyen to be with my mother, Alice. Sunday Mum waited for Terry’s phone call – he called every Sunday evening. It was the highlight of Granny’s week. What a lovely and precious thing Terry did for Mum.
Again, on one of my trips alone home to Ouyen, we went to the Mildura trotting meeting where Terry was competing in a race – he won. I was so excited I ran into the “winner’s circle” – a “NO NO”!
Another visit, with our daughter Christine and sister Shirley Ritchie we met Lyn on their ranch. What a lovely warm welcome they extended to the three of us. Lyn, a great cook, and Christine thoroughly enjoyed the time they spent touring the property. None of us will ever forget Terry’s commitment to taking care of Geoffrey and Dennis when they had health problems.
My love and respect, Auntie Nancy -
